Hello, I’m Dariann R. Modeliste, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Biola University. I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions with compassion, curiosity, and support.
I am especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity development, emotional challenges, relationships, and the pressures of growing into who they are. I believe therapy provides a meaningful space for clients to slow down, feel understood, and explore the experiences that have shaped how they see themselves and the world around them.
I also have experience working with couples navigating complex relationship challenges, including infidelity, blended family dynamics, and premarital preparation through the Prepare/Enrich program. I tailor my approach to each couple's unique relationship, drawing from evidence-based approaches, including Gottman Method principles, to help partners strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate challenges together.
My approach is relational, psychodynamic, and person-centered, integrating attachment-informed, narrative, experiential, and other evidence-based approaches to support self-exploration and meaningful change. I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs and goals, recognizing there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. I also enjoy incorporating creativity and self-expression into therapy, offering alternative pathways for processing emotions and experiences when words alone feel limiting. My background in motivational speaking, group facilitation, and creative expression allows me to bring warmth, encouragement, and intentionality into the therapeutic space.
I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and safe enough to be honest about where you are. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, process your experiences, and feel empowered to move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Who I Work Best With:
I work best with clients who are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or seeking a deeper understanding of the experiences and patterns shaping their lives. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, relationship concerns, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. I also enjoy working with male clients who are navigating emotional expression, vulnerability, identity, relationships, and the pressures of managing life's challenges. Additionally, I welcome individuals who are exploring questions related to faith, spirituality, and religion.
I also enjoy working with couples seeking to strengthen communication, rebuild trust after infidelity, adjust to blended family dynamics, prepare for marriage, or reconnect through life's inevitable challenges. If you are looking for a warm, collaborative space to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and navigate life's challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
